Although it is common for your active dog to have minor injuries on their paw pads especially in hot weather; some surfaces such as concrete, hot pavement, or tar roads can cause discomfort for your dog due to blisters, tenderness, burns or peeling. The best way to check if the surface is too hot is to put the back of your hand against it.
