NHV Yucca is a highly nutritious herb that contains multiple nutrients such as vitamin C, beta-carotene, B vitamins, magnesium, iron, calcium, manganese, protein, niacin, and phosphorus. It is commonly used in pet food across the globe.
There are 2 important properties in Yucca: Sarsasapogenin and Smilagenin. They both work on the small intestine’s mucous membranes to aid absorption of minerals and vitamins into your cat’s body. Sarsasapogenin and Smilagenin are steroidal saponins or phytosterols that function as precursors to corticosteroids which are naturally produced in your cat’s body.
While stimulating and supporting the production of its own corticosteroids and corticosteroid–related hormones, steroidal saponins aid the immune functions of the body. Studies have been conducted on Yucca to show that it is useful and effective to help relieve discomfort, help stimulate appetite and to help reduce arthritic inflammation. NHV Yucca for Cats may assist in minimizing urease production, which contributes to the unpleasant odours of urine and faeces.
